The three-way valve body has three connecting ports, which are suitable for the pipeline control system of fluid in three directions, and are mostly used for temperature adjustment, ratio adjustment, and bypass adjustment of heat exchangers. In use, it should be noted that the temperature difference of the fluid should not be too large, usually less than 150 °C; otherwise, the three-way valve will be stressed, otherwise the three-way valve will deformation due to large stress, resulting in leakage or damage to the connection.
The three-way valve has two types: the three-way confluence valve and the three-way diverter valve. The three-way confluence valve is for the medium to flow in from two input ports and then flows out from an outlet, and the three-way diverter valve is for the medium to flow in from one inlet, divided into two outlets that flow out.
